The Las Vegas Strip closed on Thursday night after a fire engulfed the roof of the famed Bellagio hotel and casino .
No one was injured in the blaze, which was first reported at 10:46 p.m.
It took less than a half hour to extinguish , but Clark County Fire Department officials stated that the firefighting effort was “extremely difficult” due to the fire’s location, per the Los Angeles Times.
According to KTNV-TV, 10 engines and 77 first responders were involved in putting out the blaze.
Authorities had not determined the cause of the fire by Friday morning.
Damage was confined to the roof , the Las Vegas Sun reported.
Bellagio is one of the largest hotels in the world, with nearly 4,000 rooms. The MGM Resorts-owned hotel opened in 1998 at a cost of $1.6 billion .
