Oreo Wants To Pay You Half A Million Dollars To Come Up With Its New Flavor

Oreos released a limited-edition Firework-flavored cookie  Tuesday but that’s not the only reason to celebrate. 

The cookie company is taking a page out of the Lay’s  potato chip playbook and asking the masses to come up with its next flavor. The winning idea is worth a whopping $500,000. And runners-up will earn cash too!

To enter, post your idea to Instagram or Twitter using the hashtags #myoreocreation and #contest.

Oreo will select three finalists who will all win $25,000 and see their ideas hit stores next year, according to People . Then the masses will vote to select the $500,000 winner.

Cookie creators have until July 14 to come up with their proposals. And it’s probably a good idea to head to the store to pick up multiple packages of Oreos for, you know, research.
